Overview: the project

Our client approached us to upgrade the lighting in their indoor tennis hall—and we didn’t hesitate to help! In indoor tennis halls, uniform light distribution and sufficient illumination levels are crucial so that players can see clearly, judge movement and speed, spot the lines, and so that spectators and, if applicable, cameras have a good view. Ceiling heights are often relatively high, as was the case here, so the lighting must be strong enough to illuminate the court effectively. High luminous output (lumens) and good efficiency are essential for this. Many lights are typically in operation, often for long hours, which makes electricity consumption and maintenance costs key factors. Efficient LED tubes with a long lifespan help significantly reduce these costs. This is exactly what we recommended to our client—and now the tennis hall shines in a completely new light!

The result ...

• The Noxion tubes are equipped with a color temperature of 840 (cool white, 4,000 Kelvin). Cool white light ensures good visibility, high contrast, and clear perception of the ball and court lines - crucial for sports halls.

   

• The selected Noxion LED tubes have a long lifespan of 50,000 hours. For example, at 60 hours of use per week, the products provide high-quality, flicker-free light for up to 16 years. Another advantage: less maintenance and fewer replacements are needed, which is a major benefit in a sports hall with many high-mounted fixtures.

   

• The new LED tubes have a low energy consumption of only 20 watts, replacing the conventional 58-watt predecessors. Thanks to their higher efficiency, around 65% of energy costs are now saved.

Easy installation:

• Thanks to the plug & play principle, the LED tubes quickly replace their conventional predecessors. Simply unscrew the old tubes from the fixture and screw in the new LEDs - it’s that easy!

We used this product for the project:

We chose the tubes with 3,300 lumens because, in an indoor tennis hall, high brightness is essential to ensure the court is evenly and adequately illuminated—something these tubes deliver very well.

Additionally, the products have a lumen-to-watt ratio of 160. Since they produce a lot of light with relatively low power consumption, they help reduce electricity costs. In large halls with many lights and long operating hours, this is particularly important for lowering operational costs.
