What are LED Filament bulbs??
LED Filament bulbs are also called LED Cabled bulbs, LED Vintage bulbs and/or LED Incandescent bulbs. The best way to describe these stylish bulbs is as LED bulbs with clear glass, so that the carbon filament is clearly visible. How the carbon filament is visible in the bulb can vary. In the somewhat smaller LED carbon filament bulbs, this is often a rectangular/rod-shaped filament, while in the larger LED Filament (Globe bulbs) you can also see a spiral-shaped carbon filament.
What are the advantages of LED Filament bulbs?
We all know the classic incandescent bulb with clear glass. An LED Filament bulb is the economical, durable and environmentally friendly replacement of the conventional incandescent bulb. The biggest advantage is that you can save up to 90% in energy costs by purchasing LED! A simple example; a 7 Watt LED Filament bulb replaces a 50 Watt incandescent bulb. That is a very significant difference, which means that much less power is consumed. Furthermore, a vintage LED bulb is much better for the environment, because no toxic substances are used and the bulb itself cannot get hot. At any-lamp, you can also buy a LED filament bulb in various shapes, light colours and fittings. The choice is therefore huge!
What should I pay attention to when buying LED Filament bulbs online?
Do you already know where you want to use the LED Filament? In other words, in which room will the lighting hang? This is most relevant when you want to buy LED Filament bulbs. In this context, the size of the bulb also plays a role. Not every size fits into a particular fixture. This also applies to the shape. A LED bulb in a pear or candle shape is in some cases better suited than a spherical LED Globe bulb, which has a slightly larger/wider diameter. Once you have chosen the desired shape, it is good to look at the light colour. Almost all LED carbon filament bulbs in our assortment have an extra warm white colour temperature (from 1800 Kelvin to 2700 Kelvin). This immediately tells you that the light is very warm and enhances the atmosphere.
What colour temperatures are available for LED carbon bulbs?
In terms of light colour, you can choose from various options in the 'extra warm white' category. You might be inclined to think that there is little difference in the hue of the light because it is always extra warm white light, but that is not the case. A LED Filament bulb at 1800 Kelvin is more similar to candlelight, while a Vintage LED product at 2700 Kelvin is a shade that can still be described as warm and cosy but emits slightly brighter light. So remember; the lower the number of Kelvin, the warmer the light! This can sometimes also be seen in the colour of the glass of the LED Filament bulb. To give you an extra hand you can click on your favourite colour temperature in the table below.
Color temperature | Features |
1800 Kelvin | Extra ambient, corresponds to candlelight |
2000 - 2200 Kelvin | Very atmospheric light with a soft character |
2400 - 2700 Kelvin | Atmospheric light. Slightly brighter/stronger in brightness |
4000 Kelvin | Cool white. Suitable for reading/studying, among other things |
Are there also dimmable LED Filament bulbs
Yes, our assortment consists of various LED Filament bulbs that are dimmable. The advantage of a dimmable LED carbon filament bulb is that you save extra on your energy consumption. This is because a bulb does not need to shine at full strength when it is dimmed. In other words, not all the power is needed. In terms of dimmable LED vintage lighting, you also have several options when it comes to the shape of the bulb and the colour temperature. Curious about all dimmable Filament bulbs? Which LED Vintage bulb is most suitable for my living room?
A living room is a place where especially in the evening activities take place that have to do with relaxation. Think for example of watching a series or film on TV, a dinner with friends or a game night. In this respect, it is nice if the lighting gives an extra boost to the cosiness that prevails there. You can also make sure that the bulbs above the dining table or near the television stand out in terms of appearance. Combining different shapes of LED filament bulbs is also something that is done regularly. It creates a playful effect. So it is completely up to you! Also think carefully about whether or not the bulbs should be able to be dimmed. Other places in the home where this LED lighting comes into its own are bedrooms, attics and kitchens.
Are LED filament bulbs suitable as mood lighting for restaurants, hotels and cafés?
Absolutely! LED vintage lighting is therefore very common in restaurants, pubs, hotels, theatres, saunas and more. If you immediately give your customers or visitors a welcoming feeling when entering, then you have already achieved an important goal. The presence of the right LED lighting plays a crucial role in this. Restaurants with a cooler light do not exactly invite people looking for a cosy place to eat, while those with a warm and friendly atmosphere are much more attractive. LED carbon filament bulbs are therefore also eminently suitable for decorative lighting, as they can give a room extra prominence, especially at times when it is dark outside.
