SMD LED strips
That light strips are a great addition to the lighting in your business premises, home or garden is no surprise, but what exactly are SMD LED strips ? These lights, when lit, can be recognised by the visible LED dots attached at a certain distance from each other. These LED chips can have various sizes such as SMD2835 and SMD5050. For a single-colour SMD LED (2700K, 3000K, 4000K or 6500K), this can for example be 60, 120 or 240 LEDs per metre. Another option are strips with tunable white and/or RGB. In this case, the yellow, orange and/or ‘silver’ chips light up according to the colour of light you choose. Make sure you choose a light source that suits your environment: IP20 or waterproof. Note: if you cut your IP65 strip, for example, it is no longer waterproof! When installing SMD LED, you need an LED driver that provides the right power supply (usually 24V DC); it should also match the total wattage of one SMD LED strip or all the light strips connected to one another. Also good to know: If you want to set the lighting with an app or a remote control, now or in the future, make sure you place a controller between the LED driver and the SMD LED.
