What are the different Ledvance T8 LED tubes?
Ledvance distinguishes in its product range between superior class (S), performance class (P), value class (V) and Smart+ LED tubes.
Superior class T8 LED
Light sources in this class are the premium Ledvance T8 LED tubes and therefore also last 75,000 hours! They are exclusively available in EM/Mains variants, allowing them to be placed without rewiring in a G13 (LED) fluorescent fixture with a conventional ballast or directly on mains power. The glass tubes have splinter protection (PET coating), so they also have a place within the HACCP concept. The uniform light distribution comes into its own in industrial and manufacturing environments, traffic zones, corridors, supermarkets ,department stores and such, and are also ideal for use in combination with sensor technology. Superior class T8 LEDs are available in standard light output and high light output (Ultra Output - UO) variants.
Performance class T8 LED
The performance class is known for its high-quality products, which can be placed in many environments, such as production halls and supermarkets. In addition, the Ledvance T8 LED tubes in this class are compatible with an EM ballast, an HF ballast and/or can be connected directly to mains power. These glass LED tubes have a PET coating that prevents splinters and an energy consumption that is on average 60% more economical than its fluorescent predecessor. Available in 600 mm, 900 mm, 1200 mm and 1500 mm. Do you opt for standard brightness or Ultra Output (UO)? The tubes last between 60,000 and 75,000 hours.
Value class T8 LED
Ledvance's value class concerns budget light sources, but with high performance. The Ledvance T8 LED tubes illuminate for 30,000 hours with uniform light, both the EM/Mains and the HF or universal UN variant. The glass tubes can be fitted into your existing fixture without any problems and are suitable for corridors, stairwells, car parks, industry, refrigeration and storage areas, supermarkets and at home. With a choice of 600, 1200 and 1500 mm, there is always a T8 LED tube to fit your fixture.
Smart+ T8 LED
You're getting into smart lighting when you buy Ledvance Smart+ T8 LED tubes. These LEDs can be controlled with the Ledvance Smart+ WiFi app and can also be used with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
