Energy efficiency class | E |
i
The European Union has drawn up guidelines for energy labels for lighting. The energy efficiency of bulbs and luminaires is expressed in classes (A to G). Energy label A is the most efficient and energy label G the least. The energy label is also stated on the packaging of a product.
|
Energy efficiency class old | A++ | |
Average Lifetime (h) | 60000 |
Technology | LED |
i
The technology indicates the operating base of a light source. The most well-known and energy-efficient example is LED. Other techniques include Halogen, gas discharge, TL (fluorescent) and the light bulb.
|
---|---|---|
Replaces (Watt) | 58 |
i
This indicates which wattage of your old/conventional lighting is replaced by this LED product.
|
Wattage | 20 |
i
The wattage indicates how much energy a light source consumes. With LED lighting, the wattage is considerably lower than with conventional lighting. LED lamps with a higher wattage generally also have a higher light intensity (number of lumens).
|
Dimmable | No |
i
When you dim lights, the full power does not have to be used. You therefore save extra on energy costs. Dimmable lamps can also be used to create an extra cosy atmosphere. Keep in mind that you need a LED dimmer to dim LED lights.
|
Cap / Base | G13 |
i
The cap/base of a bulb is the part that connects it to the socket in the fixture. In the UK, B22 (Bayonet) caps/bases are still the most popular, although E27 (Edison screw) caps/bases are becoming increasingly popular. GU10 is the most common cap/base for spotlights. Check which cap/base you need carefully as many other types are also available.

Colour temperature (Kelvin) | 3000K - Warm White |
i
Light colour is also known as colour temperature and is expressed in Kelvin (K). You can choose from:
|
Colour Code | 830 - Warm White |
i
The colour code is a combination of colour rendering (CRI) and light colour (Kelvin). The first number indicates the colour rendering (1 = very poor colour rendering, 9 = maximum colour fastness). The second and third number contains the light colour. Example: the colour code 830 consists of good colour rendering (8) and warm white light (3000K).
|
Colour Rendering (Ra) | 80-89 |
i
Colour rendering is also known as Colour Rendering Index (CRI) and indicates the extent to which a light source reproduces colours, compared to the actual colours in daylight. Products with a good (80-89 Ra) or excellent (90-99 Ra) colour rendering show minimal deviations in the colour spectrum.
|
Light Output (Lumen) | 2900 |
i
The number of lumens (lm) is the light output of a light source. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the light source emits. The wattage and the number of lumens are not connected to each other. An LED lamp with a low wattage can have a higher number of lumens than a conventional lamp with a high wattage.
|
Beam Angle (degree) | 160 |
i
A beam angle indicates the angle of the light beam coming from a light source. The smaller the radiation angle in degrees (D), the narrower the beam angle.
|
Luminous Efficacy (Lm/W) | 145 |
i
The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The higher the number, the more efficient a product is in terms of energy consumption. LED lighting has a considerably higher lumen/Watt ratio than conventional lighting.

LED Starter included | No |
i
You need a LED starter if the fluorescent lighting in your current fixture also contains a starter. In that case, you have a fixture with a conventional ballast (EM). A LED starter replaces your current starter and ensures that a LED tube works.
|
Ballast | Electronic (HF) |
i
A ballast can be seen as an energy regulator that switches on the lighting. Is there a starter in the fixture? Then this is a conventional ballast (EM). Fixtures with an electronic ballast (HF) don't have a starter. A LED driver can be compared to an electronic ballast and only works with LED lighting.
|
Length | 150cm |
i
The most common lengths for T8 LED Tubes are 60cm, 90cm, 120cm and 150cm. For T5 LED Tubes this concerns 55cm, 85cm, 115cm and 145cm. Switching to LED? Then always check the length of your current fluorescent lighting. Do you want to know more? Then read our blog!

Description Philips LEDtube T8 MASTER (HF) High Output 20W 2900lm - 830 Warm White | 150cm - Replaces 58W
Highlights
- High Output
- Suitable for fixtures with electronic ballast
- Excellent energy efficiency
- Warm white - 3000K
- Plug and play
- Beam angle of 160º
- Quick return on investment
High Output
This Philips LED tube combines its High Output (HO) with excellent energy efficiency. In fact, its lumen-to-watt ratio is about 50% better than that of a standard fluorescent tube.
Suitable for fixtures with electronic ballast
This T8 tube is 150 cm long and has G13 caps (the same as standard T8 fluorescent tubes). It's designed to work with fixtures that have an electronic ballast meaning no starter is required.
Excellent energy efficiency
This tube only uses 20 watts of power to replace a fluorescent tube that uses 58 watts. That means energy savings of more than 60% which is why this tube has an A++ energy label.
Warm white - 3000K
This LED tube has a colour temperature of 3000K which means it emits a warm white light. That makes it suitable for a wide of variety spaces including hallways and parking garages.
Plug and play
The Philips LEDtube HF HO can directly replace its fluorescent equivalent. Simply remove the old tube and insert this one in its place.
Beam angle of 160º
Conventional fluorescent lighting distributes its light over 360° and that includes areas where it's not needed. This tube, on the other hand, distributes its light over 160° which means it doesn't waste any power distributing light where it's not needed.
Quick return on investment
This LED tube is so efficient that you'll see a quick return on your initial investment thanks to the savings in energy costs. It has a lifespan of 50,000 hours too and for extra peace of mind, an all-in warranty of 5 years is also included with this product.
