The technology indicates the operating base of a light source. The most well-known and energy-efficient example is LED. Other techniques include Halogen, gas discharge, TL (fluorescent) and the light bulb.

The wattage indicates how much energy a light source consumes. With LED lighting, the wattage is considerably lower than with conventional lighting. LED lamps with a higher wattage generally also have a higher light intensity (number of lumens).

Lighting with a voltage of 220-240 Volt can be connected directly to the mains. Lighting with a different mains voltage (12 Volt and 24 Volt) requires an (electronic) transformer.

When you dim lights, the full power does not have to be used. You therefore save extra on energy costs. Dimmable lamps can also be used to create an extra cosy atmosphere. Keep in mind that you need a LED dimmer to dim LED lights.

The light color indicates the color of the light emitted: white, colored, or UV. For many products in our assortment, the light is white, available in a range from very warm white to daylight white (expressed in Kelvin). With colored light, you have two options: 1. A single fixed color, such as red or green. 2. RGBW, which means you can adjust the light color at any time: white or colored.

Colour rendering is also known as Colour Rendering Index (CRI) and indicates the extent to which a light source reproduces colours, compared to the actual colours in daylight. Products with a good (80-89 Ra) or excellent (90-99 Ra) colour rendering show minimal deviations in the colour spectrum.
|
Colour Rendering (Ra) | 90-99 |
i
The colour control type tells you in which way you can regulate the colour of the light. You have the following options:
1. Single colour: This light has one fixed light colour. You cannot change it.
2. CCT: You choose from 2 or 3 fixed colours via a switch, such as warm white or cool white.
3. Tunable white: The white light can take any values in the listed Kelvin scale, for instance 2200K up to 6500K.
4. Dim to warm: Dimming makes the light warmer (more yellow). The more you dim, the warmer the colour.
5. RGB: You can set the light to almost any colour. From red to blue, you fill it in completely as you wish.
By choosing your preferred light colour options, you are one step closer to the right light product.

The number of lumens (lm) is the light output of a light source. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the light source emits. The wattage and the number of lumens are not connected to each other. An LED lamp with a low wattage can have a higher number of lumens than a conventional lamp with a high wattage.
|
Luminous Flux (Lumen) | 430 |
i
The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The higher the number, the more efficient a product is in terms of energy consumption. LED lighting has a considerably higher lumen/Watt ratio than conventional lighting.

This number indicates how many LED lighting points there are per metre on the LED strip. The rule is: the more LEDs per metre, the more powerful the light/light output.

LED lighting strip
The 48W Noxion LED strip uses LED. In an LED Strip with SMD technology, each metre contains 120 individual LED lights. With this technique, it is easy to see that each LED lamp emits light independently of the others. For a LED Strip with COB technology, each meter contains 480 LED lights. This creates a tighter line of light in which the individual lights merge into a cooperative whole.
High light output per metre
The light output of a LED strip is expressed in the number of lumens. TheNoxion LED Strip Naga 5 Meter 24V - 120LEDs/m - 9.6W/m - 930-965 Tunable White | 8mm - IP20 - Best Colour Rendering - SMD2835 has a total light output of 430. This allows you to easily count out the light output per meter! Moreover, this LED strip is long-lasting. This product has an expected lifetime of 50000 hours. So you can enjoy the high light output per linear meter for many years.
Accent lighting
LED strips are often used as accent lighting or supporting lighting. This has to do with the fact that the light from an LED strip counts as direct lighting. In other words, the light shines directly on an area or object (local lighting). In this case, you can clearly see the difference between light and shadow. LED strips are very suitable for lighting under a kitchen cabinet, stairwell lighting, or at a counter. Perfect for shops, restaurants, and other places where the experience of the guest is paramount. Due to the high number of lumens of this light strip, this light source can also be used for general lighting. However, you should take into account the degree beam angle. It is possible that you will need several of these light strips, depending on the size of the room.
3000K - 6500K Tunable White
The right light color makes all the difference! This Noxion LED strip has a light colour of 3000K - 6500K Tunable White and a colour rendering of 90-99. This allows you to highlight specific objects in the room!
Flexible installation
Please note! Always unroll a LED strip completely before you start installing it to prevent the light source from burning out. To install a LED strip, you need a LED driver that converts 230V AC to 24V, the voltage at which this light source works. In addition, you need a power cable to provide the strip with power. This strip can be installed in two ways. The light strip can be attached to a surface using the tape on the underside; make sure that the surface is first free of dirt and grease. Or you can place the LED strip in an aluminum housing. In this case, the light source is cooled down during the burning, which positively influences the lifespan. Due to the flexible design of the LED strip, this light source can also be mounted in corners.
