The technology indicates the operating base of a light source. The most well-known and energy-efficient example is LED. Other techniques include Halogen, gas discharge, TL (fluorescent) and the light bulb.

The wattage indicates how much energy a light source consumes. With LED lighting, the wattage is considerably lower than with conventional lighting. LED lamps with a higher wattage generally also have a higher light intensity (number of lumens).

When you dim lights, the full power does not have to be used. You therefore save extra on energy costs. Dimmable lamps can also be used to create an extra cosy atmosphere. Keep in mind that you need a LED dimmer to dim LED lights.

The cap/base of a bulb is the part that connects it to the socket in the fixture. In the UK, B22 (Bayonet) caps/bases are still the most popular, although E27 (Edison screw) caps/bases are becoming increasingly popular. GU10 is the most common cap/base for spotlights. Check which cap/base you need carefully as many other types are also available.

Colour rendering is also known as Colour Rendering Index (CRI) and indicates the extent to which a light source reproduces colours, compared to the actual colours in daylight. Products with a good (80-89 Ra) or excellent (90-99 Ra) colour rendering show minimal deviations in the colour spectrum.
|
Colour Rendering (Ra) | 80-89 |

The light color indicates the color of the light emitted: white, colored, or UV. For many products in our assortment, the light is white, available in a range from very warm white to daylight white (expressed in Kelvin). With colored light, you have two options: 1. A single fixed color, such as red or green. 2. RGBW, which means you can adjust the light color at any time: white or colored.
|
Colour of Light | White |
i
The colour control type tells you in which way you can regulate the colour of the light. You have the following options:
1. Single colour: This light has one fixed light colour. You cannot change it.
2. CCT: You choose from 2 or 3 fixed colours via a switch, such as warm white or cool white.
3. Tunable white: The white light can take any values in the listed Kelvin scale, for instance 2200K up to 6500K.
4. Dim to warm: Dimming makes the light warmer (more yellow). The more you dim, the warmer the colour.
5. RGB: You can set the light to almost any colour. From red to blue, you fill it in completely as you wish.
By choosing your preferred light colour options, you are one step closer to the right light product.

The number of lumens (lm) is the light output of a light source. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the light source emits. The wattage and the number of lumens are not connected to each other. An LED lamp with a low wattage can have a higher number of lumens than a conventional lamp with a high wattage.
|
Luminous Flux (Lumen) | 900 |
i
The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The higher the number, the more efficient a product is in terms of energy consumption. LED lighting has a considerably higher lumen/Watt ratio than conventional lighting.

This filter allows you to refine your search by selecting specific types of light sources. Choose from options such as LED bulbs, LED tubes, or LED spots to find the perfect lighting solution for your needs.

You need a LED starter if the fluorescent lighting in your current fixture also contains a starter. In that case, you have a fixture with a conventional ballast (EM). A LED starter replaces your current starter and ensures that a LED tube works.
|

A ballast can be seen as an energy regulator that switches on the lighting. Is there a starter in the fixture? Then this is a conventional ballast (EM). Fixtures with an electronic ballast (HF) don't have a starter. A LED driver can be compared to an electronic ballast and only works with LED lighting.

- Cool white light
Ideal replacement for fluorescent tubes
This LED tube has G13 connectors and can be used as a direct replacement for a fluorescent tube in a conventional fixture (one that has a starter). By switching over to LED tubes, you start saving money in energy costs right away. That's because this 60 cm-long Noxion LED tube only uses 9 watts of power compared to its fluorescent counterpart that uses 18 watts.
Long lifespan
As well as being much more energy-efficient, this LED tube has a lifespan of 25,000 hours which is much longer than the average fluorescent tube. The long lifespan means low maintenance costs too. This is simply because you'll spend less time having to order new tubes, remove old ones and install new ones. The Noxion Avant LED tubes come complete with a 3-year all-in warranty.
For conventional fixtures
This LED tube (with starter) is suitable for conventional fixtures only. Your fixture is conventional if it has a starter (you may need to remove a tube to see it). If there's no starter, you have an electronic fixture and this LED tube won't work. Instead, take a look at our range of LED tubes that work with electronic fixtures.
Narrow beam angle
Fluorescent tubes distribute light over 360º which means light is also directed upwards where it's not needed. This LED tube, on the other hand, has a beam angle of 270º. This means light is only directed downwards and to the sides where it's needed most.
Flicker-free
Fluorescent tubes don't just flicker when they start up, they continue to flicker as long as they're switched on. It may not be noticeable for most people, but for some flickering can cause headaches and other health problems. Fortunately, LED tubes don't flicker.
Cool white light
The colour temperature of a light is very important as it creates different atmospheres in different spaces. Be sure to pick an LED tube that has the right colour temperature for your situation. This Noxion Avant LED tube has a colour temperature of 4000K and emits a cool white light that's suitable for areas like offices and classrooms.
