The number of lumens (lm) is the light output of a light source. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the light source emits. The wattage and the number of lumens are not connected to each other. An LED lamp with a low wattage can have a higher number of lumens than a conventional lamp with a high wattage.

The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The power factor indicates how efficiently a luminaire uses electricity. The rule is: the higher the power factor, the more efficient the power consumption. The Unified Glare Rating (UGR) indicates the extent to which the light of a product is blinding. This value differs per application and must comply with European standards (EN 12464-1).
